After sixteen years with HMRC's Shares and Assets Valuation (SAV), the UK tax authority's specialist unit for statutory open market valuations, Evelyn worked her way through successive roles to G7 Senior Valuer. During her time, she delivered valuation opinions for Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, employment related securities, and tax advantaged share plans. Valuing minority interests, growth shares, and reviewing Business Property Relief claims for IHT.
Before joining Touchstone, Evelyn served in SAV’s Litigation and Technical Advice Team, where she assessed some of the department’s longest running and contentious share valuations, negotiated disputes to settlement whenever possible, and prepared valuation cases for Tribunal when a hearing was unavoidable. That experience sharpened her eye for shaky assumptions and for turning dense context into clear, defensible values, a focus she now brings to Touchstone’s broader private market and transaction work.
Evelyn holds an LLB(Hons) in Law and is an Associate Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS) in Business Valuation.
When she is away from her desk, Evelyn recharges in the gym or outdoors, ensuring her three children are never short of fresh air and adventure.
